October Events
Oct. 2nd = Family Mass for 10AM at OLSS
Oct. 5th = Pet Blessing after Wednesday Mass.
Oct. 7th = Root beer and Wings, 1/2 day
Oct. 14th = Thompson's Farm Field Trip
Oct. 20, 21 was Conferences, due to Hurricane Matthew, will be rescheduled at a later date.
Both Days are full days.
Thanks to Mr. Colon for buying pizza for all of us on Friday, Oct. 21st, our students wrote "Thank You" cards to him.
Oct. 21st = HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIA!!!
The parishioners are commenting how wonderful it is to have our students at the church. They enjoyed us going to daily mass everyday, participate in service opportunities and being able to talk to the priest and deacons more than usual.
Oct. 30th = Happy Birthday Erin!!!!
We will have something for Halloween, we will keep you posted.

After Halloween and if you want to get rid of extra candy, please send it in with your child. We will be using the candy for our Advent calendars. Smaller piece or bite size candy works best. Thanks in advance.
November Events

Last year, the 2nd grade started a tradition for our Thanksgiving luncheon. We are making cornbread muffins for everyone. I am asking if everyone can contribute something from the list below would be great.
Items needed: Thank you, we have all items!
6 boxes of Jiffy cornbread Thanks to the parents who donated!
1/2 gallon of Milk
1/2 dozen eggs
If you have mini muffin pans, we can use them. Send me an email of what you can contribute and I will let everyone know. All items need to be sent to school on Monday, Nov. 21st. Thank you in advance.
All Saints Day Mass will be on Tuesday November 1st instead of Wednesday, November 2nd
On Friday, November 18th the girls will be making the corn muffins for our Thanksgiving feast. They will learn how to measure, change of a liquid to a solid, using addition and subtracting facts and telling time.
On Monday, November 21st all students will participate in an Advent retreat, your child will be going home with an Advent Cup Calendar and an Advent Wreath.
On Tuesday, November 22 we will have our Thanksgiving Feast at 11:00 am with dismissal at 12 noon.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day! We will see everyone on Monday, November 28th.
December
This weekend is our Family Mass at OLSS at 10:00am, hope to see you there.
December 5-9 is MAP testing, please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep, breakfast and is here on time. Thank you
December 7 is the Immaculate Conception Mass, it is on Thursday instead of Wednesday at 9:00am all are welcome to attend.
Saturday, December 10 is a practice for all students for the Christmas Program at OLSS from 10:00am to 12:00
Our Field Trip is scheduled for Wed, December 14 the same day as our Christmas Program. Our program all students arrive at 5:30pm at OLSS.
December 16 is our Christmas Party for the students, it is a Colonial Christmas, the students can dress back in the Colonial Era or wear their Sunday best, no jeans, shorts or school uniform this day! Dismissal is 12 noon from the Hall.
I believe we will have a book fair 14-16 of December great Christmas gift ideas!

We are very proud to hatch 7 chicks into the world! They will have a new home at Sydney's house. We can visit them to see their growth anytime.
April 10 -18 is our Spring Break

The students Participated in the Stations of the Cross every Friday in Lent.
Holy Thursday they got their feet washed and learned about the Triddum.
Mass at HTCS for Easter is at 9 am and 10:30 am we will hand out jelly beans and prayers. All are welcome to help.
April 18-28 we will be prepping for First Eucharist/Communion. We will have our tour of the church on the 25th of April.
